Schoemanshof is a family-owned farm located in the breathtaking Vredefort Dome World Heritage Site, situated on the banks of the Vaal River. Owned by the Schoeman family since 1856, our farm has deep roots in sustainable and ethical farming practices, which are reflected in our premium 100% grass-fed meat offerings.

Our Livestock:
We raise Boran and Nguni cross cattle, as well as Meatmaster sheep, renowned for their quality and adaptability in our unique environment. Our animals are born and raised on the farm, allowing them to graze naturally in their herd until they are ready for slaughter. This holistic approach ensures the well-being of our animals and the quality of our meat.

Our Farming Practices:
At Schoemanshof, we believe in the power of nature. Our commitment to 100% grass-fed meat means that our animals graze exclusively on natural pastures, without the use of chemicals or grains. Raising Healthy Cattle:
It takes a minimum of 1,000 days from birth to slaughter for our beef, ensuring that our animals mature naturally and develop optimal flavor and tenderness. When it is time for processing, we ensure the highest quality by having our cattle slaughtered at the Potchefstroom abattoir, where they are treated with respect. Afterward, our beef is carefully butchered at a local butchery, where skilled artisans prepare our meat to exceptional standards.
